Position Overview:

Asks Coronavirus screening questions and maintains documentation of everyone entering into facilities. Provides education regarding proper mask and hand hygiene protocols, ensuringthat everyone entering the facilities adheres to protocols. Assists patients and visitors with findingtheir way in the facility.

1.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This
includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation ofcustomer satisfaction.
2. Communication: Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues,exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss quality issues. Ability toperform group presentations and listen to and understand complex information and ideas.
3. Stress tolerance/Self control: Ability to maintain patience and composure, control emotions, setclear boundaries and moderate high stress, difficult situations.
4. Confidentiality: Knowledge of State and Federal (HIPAA) laws pertaining to confidentiality of protected health information. Ability to comply with laws and maintain confidentiality of patient
information.

5.Adaptability/Flexibility: Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to urgent medical situations that
may arise with high risk or diverse patient populations. Ability to adjust actions in relation to others
and adapt treatment to offer best possible care to patients.
6. Problem Solving: Ability to identify complex problems, review related information, employ creativity
and alternative thinking to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

Qualifications:

Education/ Knowledge, includingLicensure/ Certification/ Registration

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
Previous hospital or medical office experience is preferred.

Skills

Knowledge of Government regulations and requirements, managed care contracts and third party

requirements.

Knowledge of medical terminology.

General Understanding of spreadsheet/e-mail applications, and registration systems.

Knowledge of English language w/basic written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, problem solve and meet deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Ability to maintain levels of inventory to assure availability.

Basic math skills demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.

Basic keyboarding and computer skills.

As required.  Minimum call in of 3 hours/day to a maximum of 37.5 hours/week, as required. All clinic locations. Monday to Saturday.

DUTIES:
Greets and screens visitors, patients and staff in a friendly and courteous manner as they enter or leave the facility.
Performs daily temperature checks on staff.
Provides information, direction and assistance to visitors, patients and staff.
Records visitor numbers in log book and counts totals at end of each day.
Assists with controlling patient numbers in various work areas to ensure physical distancing is maintained.
Ensures workstation is disinfected regularly.
Enforces and follows established safety and security policies (e.g. smoking, emergency situations), and COVID-19 screening questionnaires.
Coordinates small deliveries and pick-ups.
May show others how to perform tasks or duties by familiarizing new employees with the work area and processes.
Monitors and restocks supplies required for the position as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade 10 education.
Basic computer skills.
Good communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to deal with confrontational situations in a calm professional manner.
Ability to use a two-way-radio/walkie-talkie and communicate clear instructions.
